Corrections: the short answer
We are people, and we make mistakes. Our pages are built and checked using the method on our How We Research page. Even so, a detail can be wrong or go out of date. If that has happened on our site, we are sorry, and we want to put it right.
What to report
Please tell us if you see any of these:
- A fact that is wrong, such as an ingredient, an amount, a price, a guarantee or refund term, or what a study found.
- A cited source that does not say what our page says, or a link that no longer works.
- The wrong product or maker, or details that have changed, including a recall or safety warning.
- A product described in a way that breaks advertising or health-claim rules.
- An ad or banner that is not labelled as one, or that makes a claim of its own.
A good example: a label on a daily supplement may list a different amount than the one our page gives. Or a study on falls may be described in a way its authors did not state. Those are worth a note.
How to report
Use our contact page. Please include the page address, the sentence in question, and a source for the correct information if you have one.
What happens next
We check each report against the source. If our page is wrong, we fix it. The date line then shows “Updated” with the date of the change.
What a correction covers
Corrections deal with facts and compliance. Which products a page covers, and how it compares them, are editorial decisions made by the publisher named on our About page. That page also discloses commissions and any connection to products we show. Requests to remove a comparison, a competing product or an ad are not corrections, but we read every one. A wrong fact inside a comparison is a correction. A maker who finds something wrong about its product is welcome to send us the source, so we can update the page.
Safety and legal notices
Legal notices and concerns about a product’s safety also go through our contact page. Anyone harmed by a product should speak to a clinician and can report it to the FDA through MedWatch.
Thank you for helping us
Your care for accurate information helps every family who reads our pages. We would rather hear from you and get it right than leave a mistake in place. Thank you for reading with us.
