The two alternatives we can compare with Ultimate H2 are H2Tab, a molecular hydrogen tablet sold on Amazon, and Terra Mare Morning Restore, a daily scoop supplement whose label lists vitamins, minerals, algae, mushrooms and probiotics. Ultimate H2 is a dissolvable hydrogen tablet from Gundry MD, and its label lists 100 mcg of vitamin B12, 80 mg of magnesium and 75 mg of citicoline per tablet. Below, each product is compared on the points you are likely to ask about before you buy.

What Ultimate H2 is, according to Gundry MD
Gundry MD’s sales page describes Ultimate H2 as a Mixed Berry dissolvable tablet. One tablet is one serving, there are 30 tablets per box, and the packaging says to add it to water. The page says the tablet “Completely dissolves in just 2 minutes.” Gundry MD says the product “Supports gut health by promoting natural postbiotics,” “Supports mitochondria health for boosted energy,” and “Helps reduce oxidative stress and supports cognitive health.”
The benefit panel speaks of feeling “strong and young,” moving more freely and feeling more confident. It adds that “All individuals are unique; as such, your results can and will vary.” The page also says its statements “have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration” and that the product “is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”
Why readers look for an alternative
Most people comparing options are weighing four things: price, form, ingredients and refund terms. On each one, the seller’s own pages give you specifics to compare.
- Price. One box is listed at $49.95, shown beside a $69.95 original price. The same page headlines both “UP TO 45% OFF” and “CLAIM YOUR DISCOUNT – 35% OFF,” so check the figure at checkout before you assume a discount.
- Form. Ultimate H2 is a tablet you drop into water and watch dissolve. Some readers want a different form, such as a scoop they can mix into a routine they already have.
- Ingredients. The label gives one total of 400 mg for the H2MG React proprietary blend, not an amount for each part of the blend.
- Refund terms. The page offers a 90-day money-back guarantee that refunds the purchase price but not shipping.

Is hydrogen water worth it? What the research shows
Whether it is worth it depends on what you want from it and what you will pay. The research is the place to start. A 2024 systematic review of hydrogen-rich water included 25 articles and is available on PMC as the 2024 systematic review of hydrogen-rich water. Its authors describe early results as encouraging for exercise, liver function, cardiovascular health and oxidative stress, and say that larger, well-designed studies are still needed.
The same review notes that many studies were done in animals, some used small samples, and some may have been supported by organizations with an interest in hydrogen-rich water products. It also says hydrogen-rich water is mostly considered safe, with no to minimal side effects.
WebMD’s hydrogen water guide reaches a similar conclusion. It says experts do not believe there are risks from drinking hydrogen water, but are not sure its benefits are greater than those of plain water or of staying hydrated in general.
On kidneys, the review describes studies in people on dialysis, where electrolyzed hydrogen-rich water was found to improve blood urea nitrogen and renal function. That is research in people already on dialysis, not a general finding about kidney health.
On how much to drink, one healthy-adult trial in the review had people drink 1.5 liters a day of hydrogen-rich water or plain water. Ultimate H2’s label sets one tablet as one serving, so follow the directions on whichever product you choose. If you want the everyday basics first, see Nutrition and Everyday Wellness.
Ingredients and dose per serving
Ultimate H2 (per tablet, per the label): vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, 100 mcg (4167% Daily Value); magnesium 80 mg (19%); H2MG React proprietary blend 400 mg, which lists non-ionic elemental magnesium, DL-malic acid and tartaric acid; citicoline as citicoline monosodium salt, 75 mg. Other ingredients include dextrose, adipic acid, natural raspberry powder and sweet blackberry leaf extract.
H2Tab: read the ingredient panel on the Amazon listing or the box before you order. That is the list to set beside Ultimate H2’s.
Terra Mare Morning Restore (per 6.3 g scoop, 30 scoops): calories 15; carbohydrate 3 g; fiber 2 g; vitamin D3 20 mcg (100%); calcium 45 mg; iron 0.5 mg; magnesium 100 mg (24%); prebiotic fiber blend 2 g; wild caught marine collagen peptides 1 g; alkalizing blend 400 mg; organic mushroom blend 250 mg; Red Orange Complex 100 mg; probiotic blend 17 mg, with seven Lactobacillus strains. Other ingredients include citric acid, natural flavors, silica and fermented rebaudioside M.
Magnesium appears on the labels of Ultimate H2 and Terra Mare, so ask a pharmacist to check it against any medicine you take. For H2Tab, check the ingredient panel on the listing or box for magnesium and anything else in it. Ultimate H2’s vitamin B12 and citicoline, and Terra Mare’s collagen, mushroom and probiotic blends, are also worth the same check.
What each one costs per bottle and per day
Prices as of October 21, 2026 for Ultimate H2 (Gundry MD’s sales page) and October 6, 2026 for Terra Mare (its product page). Check today’s price at checkout, because prices and bundles change.

The page also shows $119.85 beside Subscribe & Save 10%. Check at checkout which box count that price covers before you choose it.
H2Tab: the three Amazon listings, each titled 30 count, are priced at $28.99, $29.90 and $29.99. That is about $0.97 to $1.00 per tablet.

When we captured the page, the add-to-cart button showed an out-of-stock notice with an Email Me When Available option.
Side effects and who should ask a clinician first
The 2024 review calls hydrogen-rich water mostly safe, with no to minimal side effects. WebMD’s guide warns that drinking too much water can cause hyponatremia, a condition in which blood sodium becomes diluted, and says usually only athletes doing intense exercise are at risk. Ubie’s guide says hydrogen water appears safe for most healthy adults, but has not been proven safe in pregnancy.
Terra Mare’s label lists fish (Japanese threadfin bream) as an allergen. Talk to a clinician soon, before your first order, if you take prescription medicines, have a serious condition, or are pregnant. If you are unsure whether a product fits your situation, bring its label to your pharmacist.
Refunds, guarantees and shipping
Ultimate H2: the sales page lists a 90-day money-back guarantee. It says to contact customer support at (800) 852-0477 for a refund of the purchase price, which does not cover shipping. Free U.S. shipping applies over $60, and the page says orders ship within 10 to 15 business days due to high demand. The page footer lists a street address in Los Angeles, California. The page also shows a BBB A+ Review badge and says the product is third-party lab tested.
Terra Mare: the product page lists a 90-day money-back guarantee and free U.S. shipping on orders of $50 or more. It says Subscribe & Save orders can be modified or canceled at any time. The page lists (800) 936-9261 as its order line. Check the refund steps on the order page or ask the seller before you pay.
H2Tab: check the Amazon return terms on the listing you choose before you order.
What buyers and listings show
For H2Tab, the Amazon listings show these figures: 4.2 stars from 2,966 reviews and about 20,000 sold a month; 4.1 stars from 1,679 reviews and about 10,000 sold a month; 4.3 stars from 238 reviews and about 7,000 sold a month. These are the listing’s own figures, and the monthly sales number is an Amazon estimate, not a quality rating. A listing with 238 reviews has a much smaller sample than one with 2,966.
For Ultimate H2, Gundry MD’s page shows a guarantee and badges, but no buyer ratings. Read recent buyer reviews wherever you buy, and read several, not just the average.
For Terra Mare, the page shows a 2025 Nourish Awards winner badge with a quote from the awards judges. That is the seller’s display, not a buyer rating.
Who each one suits
- Ultimate H2 suits a reader who wants a hydrogen tablet with vitamin B12, magnesium and citicoline on the label, who values the 90-day refund window, and who is comfortable with list price or a multi-box bundle.
- H2Tab suits a reader whose main question is cost per tablet and who is comfortable buying from an Amazon listing. Compare the three listings on price, rating and return terms.
- Terra Mare Morning Restore suits a reader who wants a daily scoop with magnesium, vitamin D3, probiotics and a mushroom blend rather than a hydrogen tablet, and who may prefer the subscription price with its cancel-anytime terms.
Which one is best? The questions that decide it for you
The research above is early, so no ranking here says one of these products works better than another. The choice comes down to the questions below.
- Ask Gundry MD which box count the $119.85 subscription price covers, and whether the 35% or 45% discount applies at checkout.
- Read the ingredient panel on the H2Tab listing you pick, and compare it with Ultimate H2’s list.
- Ask a pharmacist to check magnesium, vitamin B12 and citicoline, or the Terra Mare ingredients, against your medicines.
- Ask any seller whether it can provide a certificate of analysis for the product; the nmn certificate of analysis guide covers NMN, which none of the three products is.
- Confirm the refund route before you pay: the 90-day window, and whether shipping is refunded.
- Talk to a clinician before you start if you have a serious condition, take prescription medicines, or are pregnant.
If you try one, keep a two-week log. Write down the date, the product, how many tablets or scoops you took, the water amount, the time of day, and any change you notice, good or bad. Bring the log to your clinician or pharmacist. Before you spend, you can also read longevity myths.
